RELIGION IS NOT A DETERMINANT OF A STANDARD COUNTRY
I see people keep shouting comments like "Nigeria has the highest rate of
Religious building,yet they are the worst in Corrupt practices
,underDeveloped,Lacks initiatives bla bla bla..look at poland, look at Finland" look at this,
Look at that,they have lesser religious houses
Last I checked, Religion is just a single part of the whole SOCIETAL SYSTEM
-Family
-Culture
-Ideology
-Values
-Economy
-State
-Politics
-Religion
All these! Are the key functions behind the societal system, just like the human system is characterized by many key functions .
If one is faulty, then others follows .Imagine a Political system that's not good, people will automatically
complain about economy,family,culture,ideology and state And if it's the Economy that's faulty WHICH IS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND ANY SOCIETY people automatically are faced with Family problem,Ideology,Religion and vice versa I feel most people who mention religion this,religion that are just trying to justify the faults of the other parts of the society .They all work hand in hand And the starting point is not even religion, so the fault shouldn't start from it .
Questions you should ask: How are some people's Family Orientations like? We have eyes and ears, we have heard of so many situations where some family chooses the list of tribes or state their children can marry from and when this breeds segregation you still
blame religion ?
What do some people's Culture permit that is detrimental to the society? For all we know,some people's Culture demand their tribesmen have heaven and earth to gain a title or become known, so when such individual does all sort of corruption induced activity to become wealthy, you still blame religion?
When The STATE -POLITICS is being jam packed with those who are on Money hunting hence the Skeletal nature of the Nigerian ECONOMY You still blame RELIGION for that too?
When certain set of individuals' Ideology is "We or no one else" Behold! You still blame RELIGION ?
The situation of Religion in this case is just like a human blaming the hand for not WRITING when the head is feeling headache, you shouldn't even blame the head, let aside the hand, just find solution, When a Part of a system is Faulty Others eventually becomes faulty.
What you should know? Religion is Just like a Shield to those whose other part of the society has failed
This days everybody is looking for Miracle because his/her family is hungry(and Is this still the fault of religion? Isn't it crime against the existence of a common sense to blame religion for hunger?), every body wants to pay tithe to their pastors, Pay Zakah to their Mosque just so God Can answer them on time and all these desperation? Gives room to those who are also desperate to get wealth and money. And the best means and saviour?: RELIGION
of cause Most of all these religious Leaders are frustrated humans like you who needs money and power and they can only attract people of their category. Even the political leaders who has embezzled run to those so called religious leaders to give them that same money the society needs and will
they reject it because it's impure? Would any religious leader who is financially okay before he was "CALLED" be dazzled by money? So you are worried about the numbers of religious houses?
The other parts of the society has probably failed them
Do you think religious houses will be that much if everybody was OKAY, if the Economy was good, if some Culture doesn't ask it's people to bite more than they can chew? You have never wondered why most of this religious houses' aggressive prayer point is
always about "Enemies who doesn't want them to make it in life" "enemies who doesn't want them to be successful " "Witches who has tied there glory" All this prayer points falls back to "MONEY" = ECONOMY
If the economy was good and the larger part of the country aren't on SUCCESS HUNTING EVANGELISM, this massive amount of religious houses wouldn't even be our complain Right now Maybe,It would have been something like "Could you believe I had to travel to KANO before I could get a Mosque?" Do you know I took bike of 5Miles everyday to get to our church?"
What People Fail to Know "There is power in the tongue" Or you believe that power was delegated to
anybody who calls his/herself a pastor alone Or just anyone who claims they were called
What about the Doctrine of "Ask and it shall be given" Your Religious leaders has given you another translation of that to their own benefit? Most Individuals now prefer to follow the translation of
their "Daddy", "Sheikh", "Prophet/Prophetess", "Alfa" rather than what's actually stated
This Frustration have eaten deep into some people who think they are just normal believers that they can go berserk in a twinkle of an eye when you do the
mistake of insulting their "Sect/Leader's" Ideology They might not even know they are capable of that until it happens.
Who then are you really worshipping? Your Daddy/Sheikh or what They claim they were preaching about when they first came to you? Tell me of man who is OKAY about life & cares about that? A Man who is alright with his state of living becomes a religious terrorist at the command of his leader? Most of them have been brainWashed into Believing Paying Tithe and Fasting is the real the deal "Formula : just be fasting so that you can spend less and have money to drop at my religious house programs "
Tell me: are those two the only element of good deeds? The best way to pay your tithe according to
my thought, those 10% you might Probably not get rewarded for probably because you are giving it to the wrong person, Save it and build houses for your parent, They are your key to paradise too
Worship God Through themAnd Again, Hope you know what too much deprivation of food to the digestive system can do? You can do good by helping people, Fasting! Fasting ! Fasting every time your religious leader appoints it doesn't automatically secure your "HEAVEN"
PEOPLE BEING MANIPULATED BY RELIGION BECOMES EASY, WHEN OTHER ASPECT OF THE SOCIETY IS OF NO USE TO THEIR EXISTENCE RELIGION IS THE OPIUM OF THE MASSES AND IN THE WORLD,THE THEISTS ARE MORE THAN THE
ATHEISTS AND AMONG THE THEIST, THE BUFFOONS ARE MORE THAN THE LOGICAL ONES
But ask yourself : those countries you happily compare nigeria with (Finland,Poland Etc)
Is there ECONOMY like our's?
