OUR DEFINITION OF INDEPENDENCE IS STRANGE

Don't You Dare...
Don't You Dare
Wish me Happy INDEPENDENCE
-
What Good is the Independence
If the Authenticity of my way of life will be judge by someone else's
What Good is the Independence if my natural attire will be classified as indecent dressing on a monday, tues or Wednesday or whatever day it is
We were their strange attire,it looks so normal to
Us, Pls The "TIE" thing what is the significance?
A rope on your neck indicating what? This sense of
dressing will keep looking strange to me because it is not my way of life
And yet when you see an ihorbo man with his wrapper you laugh, when an Igbo man is wearing his singlet you snicker, when a Yoruba Man is adorned with his cap, you beef, when an hausa man cherishes his way of all life in all aspect, You Hate, you call them Backward
What use is the Freedom if I will only be referred to as
a LITERATE only if I can speak THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
If we can be ILLITERATE For not knowing how to speak ENGLISH, they can also be an ILLITERATE for not knowing how to speak our LANGUAGE
Mind you : Not "Native Tongue"
Your LANGUAGE!
A Situation where being proud of who we really
Are has been considered Crime, to where our allegiance lies? We don't know Ethnicity or The
Fable called a country? Or maybe we really do
Know but we prefer denial over reality because we don't want to appear radical but THE TRUTH DOESN'T COME IN VERSIONS
So are they saying we were without identity before they came!
We were without voice or language
We were without the best way of governing that suited us
-
BrainWashed Political Idiots, will say
They opened our eyes, to what?
To our weakness and stupidity
Of thinking a man should be
Considered man from the lens
Of another man's view?
-
The Slavery is still much on!
To a lay man its 57 years
To a Political Animal:
103 years and still counting
Then :it was with FORCE,
This time, with
SOFT POWER
Isn't it amazing!? At least we
Are moving in chains with smile
On our faces and congratulating each other with it
